Thankful Thursday...........worse than giving birth....Kind of....

Hello to all of you who have dropped by tonight and tomorrow.
I really REALLY didnt forget about you, or about writing a blog post today,
but with trying to get the final touches done on a book that has caused me to pull my hair out
the last couple of days, I needed to focus on that this morning and afternoon.

I AM incredibly thankful today,
a little nervous,
a lot thrilled....
This is my very first book.
Ever.
As in
EVER.
Here is the cover of it.

And I know, its full of recipes,
and fun little tidbits about my family
and how I do things.
Its not like I wrote an autobiography or something,
telling you all the horrible things I have done and gone through.
OH wait.
That would be called a blog. :)

But it has caused so much pain, and tears just trying to get it from one place to another.
I mean, after this experience I TOTALLY understand why people charge up to $500
 to professionally format someone's E-book.
TOTALLY UNDERSTAND.

Still, it is done. Proof-reading is done.
Formatting is done to the best of my ability.

And I woke up in a cold sweat thinking last night
about writing another one.

Yep. Just call me LOCO.

But today over on the Facebook page, it was like God was reminding me over and over again why I do the things I do. Why I write what I do. Why I encourage you to try to follow the steps I had to take to get to where I am, in learning to deal with groceries going up,
and gas going up, and feeding your family or yourself.

See, we hit 600 members over on the Facebook page,
and really, I just throw my hands up at that and give it all right back to the Lord in praise.
So, if you read over here and have never been over there, just click the ribbon over my pic up there, and head on over there to be a part of the giveaway. It goes through ten pm tonight.

I had no idea, when I started this whole thing, what He was going to do with it.
I just knew I had to start walking in it.

And I have no idea where we are going.

I just know I am walking in obedience and doing what He wants,
writing what He tells me to write.

Sometimes that is really hard to do, because I am human,
and I want you to like me.
I mean, who doesnt want that?

But there is something far more important than that, and that is that if He tells me to write something that is gonna ring in your heart,
even if it makes little sense to me,
then I gotta do it.

Seeing the tremendous encouragement pouring out from all over,
from here, at The Welcoming House Blog,
from the Welcoming House Facebook page
and from folks over at the Grain Mill Wagon who check out my recipes.

I am thankful FOR YOU today.

Thankful for every comment, every word of encouragement.
Thankful for each one that chooses to read my words written on a page,
or send me a little email telling me what I can pray for you about.
It is a hard place to be, living vulnerability out on a place like this.

But I feel like I have gotten to know some of you, and I never would have had that chance,
if I had not been willing to follow where God has lead me.
So thank you so much for everything.

Many blessings to you and yours,
Heather
