Good morning, everyone!
I
hope that your week has just flown by, and more than anything, I hope
that you have had a wonderful week full of many satisfying moments!
Mine has been packed with canning, and piano lessons,
and getting ready for school,
and on and on and on and on and on.
and getting ready for school,
and on and on and on and on and on.
But TODAY, I am incredibly excited for TODAY!
I
am blessed to be able to introduce you to a wonderful friend of mine,
Amanda Friedl of Young Living Essential oils! She has graciously agreed
to share her life, her family, and her business with us this weekend,
not only through a great interview we had the other day,
but also through a giveaway that is being opened up to YOU!
Go ahead, squeal and spill your coffee.
We have plenty of things to wipe it up with here.
This
post will stay up all weekend, and you can earn different points for
different participation every single day! So be sure to read all about
what she is sharing with us, and then get involved at the end of the
post!
Q: Amanda, what are the three most important things in your life, and tell me a little bit about them:
A: My favorite things~ My faith in God is the most important thing in my life. In times of peace, and times of trouble, He has been my constant.
My second favorite thing in my entire life is my family. I'm a wife (to an amazing man who serves God daily as a pastor), I have lots of children, biological, adopted, guardianship and fosters. We have raised 8 adult children, now have four grandchildren, and still have a full dining room table most days.
My third favorite thing in my life is probably homesteading ~ to me that encompasses my full time job of animal care, gardening, canning and dehydrating, and keeping my mini-farm running.
(this is Amanda and her new small garden of 50x80 that she started this year to add dry beans, corn and squash to feed her family and her livestock!~)
Q. Why did you choose Young Living Essential Oils, and how long have you been operating your business?
I would like to invite you over to my blog where I did a post about this, and answered this question:
but to summarize it, I chose Young Living Essential Oils because I felt I could trust them. They are leaders in the industry, have been around since 1993, and are of the highest quality.
I started with nine simple oils that are available in
the Everyday Collection.
Here is a good picture of them.

Q. Tell me about your top two favorite oils and how you use them....
A. My two favorite oils are the two reasons that I share about Young Living Essential Oils with other people! They have changed our lives! My first favorite essential oil is the Peppermint.
To make a long story short, I intended on buying this oil to treat my migraines. I had read it worked just by applying it to the temples. (note to self~ remember to put this in purse so you don't run out in stores, with children or at parades...the last time I used OTC treatment instead.)
Guess what else this works marvelously on?
Arthritis---just rub a bit on the spot
Fevers---apply a small amount to the bottom of the feet, wait ten minutes, repeat 3x
Muscle Aches--on location
Stomach aches---for bloating as well as nausea, IBS, and Crohn's
and sinus congestion---apply on site
and that is just to name a few!
It also works marvelously to give you a little "pick me up" if you are low on energy mid-afternoon, as you can just rub a drop or two on the backs of your hands, or wrists for a quick smell. To share how enormously my husband's life has been changed: he was suffering with bulging discs in his back, and they had even recommended surgery. We met with a surgeon, and it just did not go well. We received his kit about a month later, and started frequently applying peppermint for pain relief. It worked! We have added some other oils since that time to help with the back, but peppermint is his fall back for pain relief.
The next oil was a life changer for me, personally. It is Lavender oil.
I have already stated how much homesteading plays a role in my life. The reality of that is that I need to be out in the garden, in the dust of the barn, by the animals to make that happen. Lavender oil has hugely helped with my allergies. Other areas of life that you might find help (as I have) are helping you or others, sleep, scarring, stop bleeding, dry skin or eczema, and right now---stopping the itch of bug bites!
(Please note that the above suggestions are very abbreviated. For more in-depth insight, and reference, please refer to the
Essential Oil and Desk Reference.
In summary, Young Living Therapeutic Grade Essential oils provide safe and effective natural pain relief. It is also important to discover the cause of the ailment and not just treat the symptom.
That is where true healing lies.
Q. If you could communicate one important thing to our readers about essential oil use,
what would it be?
A. It would be that it is important to purchase quality essential oils for using on your family or on your person. I started by using cheaper oils in my soaps, and know that when you put oils on your body, it is vital that you trust the source.
Thank you Amanda, for your time and effort in sharing this with all of us today and this weekend! I understand you also have something as a giveaway for the readers this weekend!
Would you share what it is?
Sure! In celebration of Heather

and especially for those of you who might be interested in signing up and sharing this amazing company with people who could use this knowledge and teaching right where you are at,
I, Heather, am also holding a giveaway for you.
